1-Mubarak: Egypt will not allow anyone to encroach its borders or undermine its stability

 

President Hosni Mubarak probed in a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora the developments on Lebanese arena and the preparations for the upcoming Lebanese  elections. And about the charges directed to elements of Hizbollah cell arrested in Egypt President Mubarak confirmed that Egypt will not allow anyone to encroach its borders or undermine its stability, and the case is in the court. Egyptian authorities have arrested 49 people with links to Hezbollah for planning attacks in Egypt.
Hizbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah admitted that one of the detainees is a Hezbollah member, saying that he was supplying weapons to the Palestinians.

 

2-PM: Egyptian national security is a red line

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif said Egyptian national security is a "red line" and that "Security bodies are capable of protecting the internal front".Dr. Nazif said "we will not allow any party whether it is an insider of outsider to endanger the life of Egyptian citizens or the national economy."

3-Abul-Gheit: Investigations will uncover volume of plot by Iran, Hizbollah against Egypt

Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit said Public Prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud would shortly announce big surprises following the end of interrogations into the case of Hizbollah terrorist organization.
Minister Abul-Gheit said in statements to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper that these surprises would uncover the volume of the plot against Egypt. He said Iran has been using Hizbollah for many years to implement its targets in the region.

 

4-FM: Israeli nuclear capabilities must be committed to NPT global system

Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit said Israel must join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Egypt backs international efforts to settle the Iranian nuclear file, Abul-Gheit said, adding that as a Middle East country, Israel should give the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) access to its nuclear facilities.
Arab concerns on the issue must be taken into consideration, he pointed out.
Abul-Gheit said Egypt backs the right of all countries, including Iran, to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes under the NPT.

 

5-Information Minister: Nasrallah admission affirms that Egypt does not level random accusations

 

Egypt will not stand hand-tied to threats to national security, Information Minister Anas el-Fiqi said . He added that Egyptian authorities are investigating the case of Hezbollah organization, whose members were arrested by security men, under the supervision of attorney general Egyptian authorities have arrested 49 people with links to Hezbollah for planning attacks in Egypt. Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah on Friday admitted that one of the detainees is a Hezbollah member, saying that he was supplying weapons to the Palestinians. Fiqi said that Egypt rejects outbidding on its role towards the Palestinian people. "But Egypt sees this matter as a national security issue," he added. He said Nasrallah's admission that one of the detainees is a Hezbollah member shows that Egypt does not accuse any party without evidence. "We underline Egypt's full right to take all necessary measures to protect its national security," he added.
